Joseph-Pierre Hilaire Belloc (1870-1953) was an historian, poet, essayist, biographer, novelist, and travel writer. This original autographed typescript bears the title "Napoleon," on the cover and "The Death" on both the half-title page and first leaf.

The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Science was initially part of the Department of Science in 1892. It became its own Department of Biology in 1905. It is responsible for the University's undergraduate and graduate curricula in biology.
The records of the Department of Biology contains correspondence, memorandums, laboratory manuals, newsletters, proposals and annual reports which document the activities of the Department from 1932-2005.

Mary Kate Bonds Collection
Mary Kate Bonds (1920-2012) of Chickamauga, Georgia, served in the United States Navy Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service [WAVES], United States Naval Reserve, and the United States Navy. Bonds served as a military officer from 1942 till 1971. Her career spanned World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Bookbinding Specimens Collection
A collection of bindings made from paper, onlaid and inlaid leather, decorated metal, and vellum bindings. The majority of the bindings were created by Don Etherington and Monique Lallier. There are also four historical bookbinding models (or facsimiles) and one contemporary sculptural book created by artist Matthew Shlian. The bookbinding specimens are intended to be used for classroom study and instruction, workshops, symposiums, and table discussions.
