Joseph-Pierre Hilaire Belloc (1870-1953) was an historian, poet, essayist, biographer, novelist, and travel writer. This original autographed typescript bears the title "Napoleon," on the cover and "The Death" on both the half-title page and first leaf.

This collection contains various military items related to Catherine Ann Bennett including a 1974 cap, a flight suit "zimmer", navy blue jacket with pins, photographs, and papers.

Arnold Bennett (1867-1931) was an English novelist, playwright and critic. This undated, unsigned autograph draft of a letter is written to Mr. Lewell Collins and discusses fiscal matters related to the writing of one of Bennett's plays.

Included in this collection are a 2015 oral history interview, military papers, correspondence, photographs, artifacts, and uniforms. Much of the material in the collection focuses on her time in Meridian, Mississippi and Sasebo, Japan.

Walter Besant (1836-1901) was an English author and social critic. The signed manuscript in this collection is contained in a case bearing the title "Queen Victoria's Jubilee," and explores social improvements in England under the reign of Queen Victoria.

The Beta Beta Zeta Chapter of Beta Phi Mu, an international honor society for library and information science, was founded at UNCG in 1984. This collection contains brochures, correspondence, minutes, and rosters from 1983-2003.

The Department of Biology in the College of Arts and Science was initially part of the Department of Science in 1892. It became its own Department of Biology in 1905. It is responsible for the University's undergraduate and graduate curricula in biology.

The records of the Department of Biology contains correspondence, memorandums, laboratory manuals, newsletters, proposals and annual reports which document the activities of the Department from 1932-2005.

Black Mountain College was founded in 1933 by a group of nonconformist faculty and students, and before closing in 1956 due to lack of funding, secured a place in American cultural history as an important community of artists and intellectuals.

The collection includes an oral history transcript, 15 May 2000; an Army Nurse Corps memoir, 1942-1946; various military papers; a photo album; personal papers, including copy of dissertation, 1972; various newspaper clippings; 3rd Service Command patch; herring bone twill (HBT) work uniform; wool liner for jacket and pants; scarf; boots.

The collection includes an oral history transcript, 5 February 1999; a photograph of Boger with brief description, 11 May 1955.

The V-mail letter is dated 18 April; 1943. Bohler was working to establish a hospital in India and in the letter she describes her living conditions there.

Mattie Lou was a member of the first graduating class at the State Normal and Industrial School.

Nellie Ashburn Bond was a member of the State Normal and Industrial School (now UNCG) Class of 1897 and later worked as an assistant in the English department.

The Nellie Ashburn Bond Papers date from 1893 to 1967 and contain correspondence, speeches, diary, notebooks, and the typescript of an article for Alumni News.

Mary Kate Bonds (1920-2012) of Chickamauga, Georgia, served in the United States Navy Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service [WAVES], United States Naval Reserve, and the United States Navy. Bonds served as a military officer from 1942 till 1971. Her career spanned World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

The Lillian Robinson Boney Papers include materials related to Lillian Boney, who was an alumna of UNCG. She graduated from the University in 1946 and worked for NACR/NASA for nearly 40 years.

A collection of bindings made from paper, onlaid and inlaid leather, decorated metal, and vellum bindings. The majority of the bindings were created by Don Etherington and Monique Lallier. There are also four historical bookbinding models (or facsimiles) and one contemporary sculptural book created by artist Matthew Shlian. The bookbinding specimens are intended to be used for classroom study and instruction, workshops, symposiums, and table discussions.

Joyce Boorman was an award winning pioneer in children's dance education. The Joyce Boorman Papers date from 1968 to 1983 and contain papers, brochures, memoranda, correspondence, reel-to-reel tapes and videotapes.

Jean Booth of Oxford, North Carolina, attended the North Carolina State Normal and Industrial College (now UNCG) from 1907-1909.

This collection includes "Service Diary U.S. Army, Daytona Beach, Florida" is printed on the cover. Bratt added her name and "2nd W.A.A.C. T.C." Entries begin on 27 March 1943. The diary includes pages for general identification, listing "My Buddies" while in the service, "Officers you have met," and many other subjects related to time in basic training.
